During my visit to Bognor Regis last September, we were blessed with the rare occurrence of sun! Small in size, Bognor Regis is a beautiful coastal resort which I would definitely recommend visiting if coming to the UK. It's just outside of Portsmouth, a popular port city with a rich naval history. Only a 3 hour drive from London, it’s a great place to stay for a weekend getaway. In my short stay I was able to get a view of the pier originally constructed in 1865- a bit nerve-wracking when you’re scared of heights, but still utterly gorgeous, the natural sunlight resulting in some magical photos with the reflection off the water.
Scattered around the small town are elegant gardens and small stores selling candied rock and fish and chips. British beaches may not be the most tropical or warmest but the area is warm with a sense of community which is comforting to an outsider.
