London is my hometown and I could not love it more. It's not just because of the busy streets or tourist spots or fancy art. London is my love because of its diversity, that is reflected in so many aspects.
Diversity that is reflected in the architecture of the past, tall grand buildings with ornate detailing that reflect the rich history this city has to offer. I can’t help but wonder about the stories behind the people that create such great marvels such as the winding canals, big bell towers and grand majestic castles.
Diversity that is reflected in the array of
food that can satisfy the pickiest eater in the pickiest of moods. A grand
array of high street restaurants, local cafes or a niche hipster
independent bakery.
Diversity that is reflected in the language and the hubbub on busy roads. Varieties of different dialects, accents and slang that have intermingled its way into every nook and cranny of the metropolitan streets.
Diversity that is reflected in the people;
the people of every skin tone, hair texture, religious garb and surname. Names
that show a mix of backgrounds, names that show a position of power, names that
have been passed down from generation to generation, names that show a long
history of British multiculturalism that isn’t going to change any time soon.
